Treasury Department delegation meets ACCA representatives in Dubai

PAOD led a delegation from Economic Faculty of Kabul University and Ministry of Higher Education to meet ACCA in Dubai from 18 to 21 July 2016. ACCA, PAOD, Economic Faculty of Kabul University and Ministry of Higher Education provided presentations, extended discussion and agreed on the blow points;

1. ACCA recognition and Oxford Brooks University (OBU) in Afghanistan
a. PAOD will start the process of ACCA recognition with Ministry of Higher Education in Afghanistan and MoHE will provide equivalency of Bachelor Degree to Students with ACCA Fundamental (F1 – F9) Level cleared and Master’s Degree on completion of Professional Level (P1 – P7) cleared.

2. Development of BSc Accounting for Kabul University
a. PAOD with Technical Support of ACCA will established Accounting Department and develop curriculum for BSc in Accounting for Kabul University with international benchmarks

b. PAOD will develop the capacity of lecturers of Kabul University to enable teaching the BSc Accounting. 
3. ACCA Exemption and Process;
a. ACCA will provide 6 to 9 papers exemption to Kabul University BSs Accounting.

These all activities will be done through a MoU which will be signed among PAOD (MoF), MoHE and Kabul University
